PEASE HELP-Having a family problem with land

Please Help me with a concern I have. I have land thats UNDIVIDED with another sibling...Before I drag this into court and waste time and money,I want to know in the state of Texas if I have a chance...Can I make another sibling divide the land if they choose not to. I was going to take my sister to court if she doesnt want to divide.Am i fighting a losing battle or by the Texas law does she HAVE to divide?Please HELP!!!

A: You have about a 50-50 chance, more or less. This is called a partition suit. The court will sell the place on the courthouse steps and y'all will split the proceeds (if any). A quick and cheap partition suit is three years and $20K.
