A couple days ago I received a paula, (possession of alcohol under the legal age) while at a tailgate. However, in the citation, the officer failed to correctly spell my last name and did not ask me to sign the bottom of the citation. What could this mean? I thought your signature was very important to the acknowledgment of the citation and my appearance in court? Please let me know if I have any options of dropping the charge due to this. I appreciate your feedback, thanks.

The lack of your signature on the ticket and spelling your name wrong are not important to the ticket. Go to court, pay your fine, and learn the lesson. If you are over 18 I think you should be allowed to drink. Unfortunately you aren't. Good Luck.
