I worked at the a Medical University in Grenada,West Indies (but I think the owners and corporate office is based in NY). I quit there in 2005 and trained in US for next 3 years. Now I signed up a job in Texas and applied for state licensure. The state board as part of 5 year employment verification sent my Dept. Chair in the Grenada a form. He wrote on it tht I had received warnings. This is a lie and actually he had harassed me thru out my tenure there as he believed in sycophancy and croneyism. The state board asked me for an explanation and that I get my employment file sent from the University. I requested them more than a month back.First they procrastinated the whole thing and now their general counsel tells me they don't release employment records as it is a property of the Univ. I am helpless now as I can't get my license and hence can't join my job. I feel my ex-boss has been finally able to hijack my career due to his personal grudge and vendetta. What are my options here?
