Parking ticket in Montreal,QC

I got a parking ticket last weekend in Montreal,QC. I paid my parking at the meter, but didn't realized that it has a time limit on it; the sign is in French. (I don't speak French).

I live in Syracuse, NY; now the question is should I pay the fine or ignore it? I'm not sure if there's anyway they can get my info by tracking my NY plate number?

Unless you plan on going back to Canada you can probably get away with ignoring it. If it is weighing heavy on your conscience then you can mail them the fine.
If you had this happen in your state then it would eventually catch up to you when you try to renew your license or vehicle registration.
