Criminal Records, Expungement Pardon / Expungment ????

I was convicted in 1971 in Indiana for drug possession ( i was 19 at the time and making poor choices), served 2 years in prison and 1 year parole after release from prison.no other legal problems since. Is it possible to legally regain the right to possess the right to own a long gun for hunting ? If so , what is the procedure ? I have no desire to own a hand gun, just a shotgun and a 22 cal for hunting. Thank you
