owed compensation

I was recently fired and was owed two weeks vacation that were supposed to rollover from last year to this one. I just received my last paycheck and the vacation from last year is not included in my last paycheck, only the three weeks of paid vacation I had comming this year. The company did not allow to roll over any vacation, but before getting fired the Director of Operations for my area said that I would not loose the vacation from last year. Also, before getting fired I requested to take some time off and was denied. The question would be, could I fight those two weeks if they don't want to pay them?

Texas only requires that your employer follow their own policy, whatever it is. Unless there is a policy that explicitly states your vacation will be paid out, nothing in Texas law is going to force them to pay it.
