Hi

I had just moved to MA and was driving the car with ice on my windshield. I cleaned it a little and could see but when I turned out of the parking lot the sun fell directly and I was blinded. Crashed against another car coming from the opposite direction. The driver was not injured and I had insurance which would cover his car. I got a citation.
The officer has filed an "operating to endanger" offense code 90.24
I have other 2 civil offenses "failed to remove ice" offense code 90.13 and "failed to stay in marked lane" offense code 89.4A.

I am really worried about the operating to endanger because it is a criminal offense. I had PA plates (was in PA for sometime in summer) and a drivers license from TX. I have just recently got a MA license and MA registration for my car.

MY defense is going to be that I had never seen so much ice and snow before. Other then that I dont know what to say. Do I need a lawyer ?

I have a hearing on Friday to determine if criminal proceedings will be commenced against me. PLz help
