I live in a downstairs flat of a 2 flat house, for the past 10 months every time a shower is taken upstairs water damages my property. Any water that escapes from bath/shower ends up in my bedroom? The flat upstairs is let out to tenants who are using facilities as normal. The owner of the flat initially denied it was their problem but have since sent in 3 different builders. One changed the drainpipe from the bath, one has put a towel under the bath all have used large amounts of silicone. My question is can I as freeholder/ leaseholder with tenants permission get my own builder to fix the problem ? My worry is that the fix won't be cheap and will lead to further problems.

This little discussion forum knows only US law. I suggest you seek a UK based law forum.
