The father of my unborn baby is here, in the United States on a visa! He is planning to go back to his country January 9, 2009. He doesn't want ANYTHING to do with this child. What am I to do?

Not much you can do. You cannot force him to do anything. You got pregnant by him. It largely depends on what country he is from and if they are party to the Hague Convention.

you might want to figure out how you are going to raise the child on your own if you cannot get any financial support from him.
