I have just looked up my credit report to find that in 2003 I had been turned over for a medical bill. The bill was from Feb 1996 and the company waited till Nov2003 to report it. (7 years)Thing is the bill should have been filed with my car ins.(due to accident) and it never was. I was never contacted thought it was all ok. Now the Ins. company will not touch it since I have not been a client in 8yrs, the Company who turned me over to collections is no longer in busness, and now the collection agency is bothering me. Didn't the origanal company pass the statue of limitaions when thay waited 7yrs to turn me over. Do I still have to pay for this when it was the Dr. office who failed to file the ins. correctally.
