Need help with a current dispute. I'm living in a condo that I rent from my landlord. My six month lease ended Feb 28th, but the lease stipulated that it goes to a month-to-month after the six months. I'm still there, but want to move out. I gave my 30 day notice a week ago, but the landlord said that I signed a lease stating I would give a 60 day notice. The landlord said that I need to give 60 days rather than 30, but I thought the California tenant laws said that I only needed to give 30 if I lived there less than a year.
I'm confused. Did I waive my right to a 30 day notice by signing a lease that said 60 days?
Thanks
