Hello,

I started a website with the help of my friend, and it was a listing of niche market. I although gather the data here and there from internet, or you can say from yellow pages.

Then I came to realized there was another company who was offering the same type of information.

Now they sent me a copyright infringement letter that I should take down the site (specificlally that listing).

But my question is the same listing of is also available on Yelp.com too?

However there my site and their site is totally different in design and look & feel.

Need some experts advice here.

Should I take down the site immediately? They keep asking me to destroy that "data" that they think is copied from their site.

Take Care,

Without seeing both websites, it's hard to answer you.

Generally, they can only ask you to cease and desist.

Only a court can order you to cease and desist.

If I were you, I'd consult an attorney before I do anything.

But, be prepared, if these guys have their facts straight; they'll get you into a courtroom to settle this.
