Corporate Law not protecting your identity

An employe at countrywide home loan has sold 2milion names and identitys,Mine was one of them!Do I have a legal recorse against them.All they are offering is 2 year credit monitering.I think it should be lifetime. What can I do?

That is a risk that we all face in this day and age. I fell victim to the same fate when DSW had the security breach in 2006. Did they offer me credit monitoring? No, they just gave me a one time free access to a credit report. So, what can you do instead? Warn the credit bureaus about your information so no one will free load on it and do the monitoring yourself. I empathize with you, believe me!
