no susession was done when mama died

my mother died 8 years ago, her and my dad were married 52 years. he remarried 5 months after mom died. i did not have the money to do a susession. he has just about sold everything he and mama had. he will not even let me nor my sister in mama's house to get her personal things. can he do this.

Her husband is her legal next of kin. If she died without a will, everything goes to her next of kin. In this case, her husband.

You and sissy loved mother. Unfortunately, love means little in a court of law. Her husband doesn't have to allow anyone into their home. His marriage so quickly after mom's death may not be right in your eyes, but it's legal.
