Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft No items recovered. Can i still be charged with theft under $500.00?

I was charged with theft under $500.00. At time of arrest there were no items recovered and no video or camera proof. Only store clerks word against mine. Can I still be charged with no proof?

If you have been charged, so that should answer your question.

If not charged YET, keep reading.

If you are charged, you simply say, "Sorry, I wish to remain silent and I want a lawyer."

Then STFU, no matter what, don't discuss any aspect of the case.

Plead not guilty, ask for a court appointed lawyer, talk only to YOUR lawyer.

Until then, WAIT.

Avoid any more trouble.

If you were actually charged there must be some evidence of theft. As instructed talk to no one about this other than your Attorney
