I filed a complaint with the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights over two years ago. The complaint was investigated and allegedly submitted to the legal division with a recommendation of probable cause from the investigator.

It has been languishing in bureaucratic limbo for 21 months with no resolution as of yet, and with no official finding of probable cause, no mediation, no word.

The investigator has since be reassigned to a different department, the new investigator ignores my Emails and provides no information

Is there any action I can take to move this matter forward?

Thanks

No, once the bureacracies become engaged, USUALLY all one can do is be patient and wait.

Why "allegedly"? What significance is the recommendation of probable cause? What do you expect to happen?

What about your phone calls? What about a visit or visits to his/her office?

Complaint about what?

What civil right do you allege was violated?

And by whom?

A probable cause finding gives the respondent 30 days to settle the complaint. If they fail to, an administrative order is directed by the NJ AG to the respondent and orders them to take specific corrective actions. They also direct punitive damages

I expect a probable cause finding and receive a reasonable accommodation
Allegedly because the original investigator advised of this verbally, I have nothing in writing that shows that this is true

When did this happen?
I filed a reasonable accommodation request in September of 2021. I filed the complaint with NJ DCR later in September

What about your phone calls? What about a visit or visits to his/her office? You ca not call the legal department. Emails to the Director go unanswered. The investigator says that it the complaint and recommendation by the investigator is under review by the legal department
