Negligent mechanic

This certain mechanic has had our vehicle since July 18, 2015 for a motor replacement. We have already sent him $1,950.00. Each time we contact him it's a different excuse. I thought something was up so I drove to his shop a week ago just to find out the truck hasn't even been touched. I have all the messages and reciepts. Is there anything we can do?

You can tell him you want your car & money back. If he will not return your money, you can try suing in small claims court.
