Need to Disclose income as step-parent?

I live in Ca and my wife has a child from a previous marriage. Everything I can find says that in Ca child support is based solely on the income of each parent only. My wife does work and have an income. I am being asked for my income. Do I legally have to provide it if it has no relevance.

Is her ex husband trying to get a CS decrease based on your income? If I were you I would not comply, but your wife should check with an attorney.
