I'm 17 and I have a 2yr old son. My home life isnt the best and me and my sister think that it would be best for both me and my son if we go live with her and her husband. I'm just not sure how to go about it. Please help ASAP im really in need of so advice you can even e-mail me! lindsey_bruno17@yahoo.com

If your parents will agree, then it shouldn't be a problem. If they don't agree, then you will probably have to seek emancipation. That depends on the laws in your state. Generally, if you cannot support yourself, you do not qualify for emancipation.
 
i cant support myself but my 18yr old sister and her 21 yr old husband are willing 2 take us in but my parent wont be happy and they will fight us. Im just worried that if the court rules in my parent favor the abuse 2 ne will continue.
 
I just noticed that you live in Indiana. I don't believe that Indiana has an emancipation statute, but I think the age of majority is 18. You will probably have to wait until you turn 18 if your parents won't agree.

You don't say what kind of abuse, but if it's physical abuse you should report it. If you are still in high school, you can tell a teacher, nurse, or counselor at school. They are required to report it. Doctors are also required to report. You could also call the police.
 
There is no way the state will grant an emancipation to a teen who has already proven she cant make wise choices.
