Hello. I need some advice regarding my neighbor's daughter. She's 14 years old. Her family is one of the worst situations I have seen. Her mother and her father are no longer together. Her father lives in California and she lives here in Colorado with her mother and step-father.
Her mother and step father smoke weed, her step father is always drinking and sleeps out in the garage most of the time because he gets so drunk he passes out. He does pretty much any drug ge can do. Her mother is often not home, they let a friend who is 21 live with them because he had no where to go.
Her mother is constantly with that boy and she even asked her children what if she liked someone else besides their father. When her daughter asked her to get her some feminine products, she said it sounded like a personal problem to her. She just doesn't care and no one really pays attention to this girl and she's very unhappy. She does most of the cleaning in the house herself. I've taken this girl to get feminine products, to get something to eat, and more.
I'm wondering if there is anyway I can help her. She is old enough to emancipate herself but has no way to financially support herself especially since she needs to stay in school and concentrate on that. I want to help her and my fiance and I want her to come live with us. She wants to come and live with us also. Is there anything I can even do to help her? Please give any advice you can. Thank you.
