I owe AMPCO about $1,000 in parking tickets. They sent a letter to me in the mail saying they want money now or they will take me to court. I don't have any money until August, plus, I'm moving far away in a week. If I ignore this letter, assuming they schedule a court date, and I do not appear, will I get a warrant? What will happen at that court date anyways? I'm assuming it is just to set up a payment schedule. Can I ignore this and just pay them when I get the money?
