My stepson will soon be 12 and repeating the fourth grade. Told by the school that summer school is not an option. His father and I want him to come and live with us but was told by his mother that under no circumstances will she allow that and to take her to court, "we will lose".
The mother finally this year had her son tested for Dyslexia, was diagnosed mildly dyslexic. He cant say his ABC's. He is AD/HD, has social problems, shy, has nightmares, needs to go to counseling but she wont take him. Thinks that the school has failed him. She helps with homework very little. He was abused and she moved him right next door the the teenage boy that abused him. Manipulates DFACS. We want so badly to get him out of the situation but dont know if we can say that what she is doing is abuse, neglect, or endangerment. Any advice is greatly appreciated in advance.
