My son's lawyer wants him to take a plea bargain with a presumpted 3 1/2 years in prison all of a sudden and said he has until the end of the week to decide. court isn't scheduled until mid October. The lawyer told us months ago that my son would not only have to serve no time, but that he would probably not get the felony on his record. Note: I have been making payments every week or two until the past month because of a recent injury causing me to miss work.

Hire a new lawyer.
Or, ask the court to appoint one for him, if you can't afford to pay for another one.
It'll buy you a delay of 6-9 months, maybe.
It might ultimately be useless.
Junior might be going to the big house.
The current lawyer might know more than you think.
