My kids in Mexico

I have joint legal custody of my children and my ex-husband has physical custody. He has since remarried and has 2 more children. Last year he told me he was fixing his immigration status and needed to leave to Mexico. I signed a notarized letter giving him permission to have the children in Mexico with him until September 2008. He is now telling me he needs me to send another letter giving him permission to have the children in Mexico until 2010. I am not comfortable with this. My question is: As soon as that letter expires, what legal rights do I have to bring the children back to the USA to live with me until their father gets his immigration status and comes back?

You need an attorney to sort this out, since you will probably have to request a modification of the custody order and you may have to deal with Mexican courts. Do you have visitation with your children?

Another quick question: Is there anything I can do legally due to the fact that the father is not obeying the legal custody? I was told that legal custody is sharing anything to do with schooling, religion, and medical issues.
