My father just passed away and he left no will. There is just my 2 brothers and myself left to inherit. There is about 16 acres of land, with a house. We know that we were each supposed to recieve 1/3 of the property with one section having the house lot. Now, my dad never got to make his will, but he had told at least 2 people who are close to the family he had wanted me to get the house, not my oldest brother. Also I have been living in the house for the past year with my father, helping him and such. Does that help my position with the probate court? I know that there is going to be alot of work to get everything cleared up but any help would be much appreciated.
