My exhusbad has not seen my daughter

My exhusband has not seen our daughter in about 8 months. I am scared that he will be calling or showing up around father's day. Do I have to give him custody? Is there a time frame that is considered in denying custody? My daughter has had a really hard time not seeing him, and I am putting her through play theropy to help her cope with the loos. I do not feel it is right that e has the right to just show p when ever he feels like it.

If the existing court order grants him father's day, then you have to have the child available to him.

Since it's been that long, maybe you could file for a modification to allow for a re-introductory period to let them get re-acquainted, if and when he decides to spend time with her again.

Kudos to you for having her in counselling. If he does show up again she will probably need it - especially if he does another disappearing act.
