my daughters being adopted

(cherokee county,georgia) My daughter is now 8yrs old and i have been a part of her life since the day she was born. Last year i got tired of her mother letting me see her maybe once a month if i was lucky so i got a lawyer. My lawyer informed me that my child was not legitimated as my child even though i signed the birth certificate becuase we were not married. My lawyer contacted the mother to let her know she would be representing me to legitimate my child and to establish visitationthe next thing i know her husbands filing for an adoption. Well it took a year to finally go to court and i was denied legitimation. The judge did not care to here anything i had to say and said it would not be in my childs best interest. He refused to even speak with my child. So now im about to loose the one thing that means the most to me in this world. The last time i saw her was fathers day 2007. My lawyer said we could appeal it but in order for her to start it i would basically have to put out another 4000 up front and ive all ready put everything i had into this. So becuase im not rich i loose her. Do i have any options.
