My son's mother moved to Texas and now is not letting me see him. I need to know what I need to do to get visitation rights and joint custody. It's been a year since I've seen him. Please help.

First of all did Mom have your permission to move? If she didn't then why didn't you to go court and dispute the move? How long ago did she move to TX? Do you have a custody/visitation agreement through the courts? We need more info here.

She went out there and the plan was for me to get everything settled here and then meet up with them. She called me and told me that she wanted to try it alone. This was in Nov. 07. We agreed to have him visit me during the summer. Last year she did allow him to come. This year when the time came (aug) she said no.

You have waited far too long to dispute the move so all you can do now is go to court and get a visitation schedule. Is there a current court order? If there is, your state has jurisdiction so you might be able to file in your state. Also, you can ask that mom pay for transportation to visits since she moved. Do something now, so you can see your kids.
