A friend of mine is representing himself in his divorce. He has filed 4 motions that the magistrate has not acted upon. One motion was filed in December, and the others were filed in February. His wife's attorney did not file and briefs with respect to the motions.

It appears that the magistrate is ignoring his motions. Can he force the magistrate to act on the motions?

Need more information. What happened after he filed them? Did he then serve them on the other party? Did he set them down for hearing? If not, why not? If yes, were the hearings held? If not, why not? If yes, what happened at the hearings?

Thanks for the response. The motions were served. The motions were sent to the court with a certificate of service. The motions were logged on the docket. There were no response briefs from the opposing party. There has been no action taken.
