Here is my story. I have one child, age 5, her mother and I were never married. Here recently she filed for child support which I gladly pay every month. Now all of the sudden she has stopped letting me talk to or even see my daughter. She has blocked my number so I can not even call to check on her. She has done this before and I did not know where or ANYting about her for 5 months. I had no address or phone number. I called DFS to see if they could go check on her, and then I got a call from the mom that night saing that she would run away with her before she would let anyone take her. I would love to have custody of her, but am willing to just have everyother weekend. Is there anything I can do? I am worried about my child, seeing as the mother has 4 children with 4 different men and the first one of hers she gave up for adoption because his dad beat him when he was first born and she did not want the child after tha. Recenlty my daughter has been also telling me that her mom is making her and her other brother steal things off of peoples porches and such. I was wondering if there is anything I can do. The child support is through the state, but no visitation was set, they told me they had nothing to do with that.

If there is no visitation order then you need to go to court and get one. You might want to contact an attorney or fathers rights groups. You have a very good chance of going to court and getting every other weekend.

You can certainly ask for custody, but you probably will need to see an attorney for best options to proceed with that.
