Abuse of a Monetary Instrument:

I am wanting to know the consequences,if possible of being accused of monetary abuse,i had to post a bail in bossier city La. on charges of monetary abuse for passing unknowingly a counterfiet 100.00 dollar bill. i would like to know one way or the other the consequences,it was a casino in bossier city La.Would i be looking at doing time or probation,or even it being dismissed;Thank You

It seems that you may have known the bill was counterfeit or you'd probably be fighting it rather than asking about penalties. FYI, if the bill is an obvious fake then you'll have little choice and likely be convicted. If it was a very good forgery than it is possible not to be charged with the crime. I believe this may be a federal crime.
