I have a 2.5 year old daughter and currently live with the father, but things are terrible. There has been lack of emotional support, failure to communicate, verbal and physical abuse toward myself, and some neglect of the child, among other things. I want full custody, and I want to move out of state to be with my family. As it is where we're at, I only have him...What can I do and what are my chances?

If you want custody you need to file for it but you will have to get Dad to agree to let you move out of state or you go to court and battle it out. Full custody does not mean you can move, that is an entirely different matter you will have to bring up. If you are allowed to move, plan on paying for all or at least half the transportation to visits.

You really should see an attorney. I would see about working something out with Dad. if you cannot get him to agree you have what could be an expensive legal battle ahead of you.
