I was in charge of 3 women at work that are notorious for chewing up managers. I was mobbed, physically patted, they slid notes under my store directors doors as to my wherabouts and actions in the dept,nasty faces made at me and my name slandered, and 1/2 truths told to my specialist. I started seeking counseling with a psychologist and ended up in the local ER for work place harrassment. I was diagnosed with depression from the ordeal. I tried to approach my store director about my diagnoses and he cut me off and said we will talk about that next week.I tried to talk to my specialist about it and he just walked away from me and within the next few days he came into the store 3 times and did not talk to me. I eventually made a mistake that caused a $600.00 loss and got demoted because I was having trouble with focus and memory. It cost me nearly 1200.00 dollars a month in income. After my new manager came the girls were terrified because the new guy was MY Mgr. from the last store I was at. The girls new I could rat them out easily. I chose a different path and said lets get to work and leave this behind us. Well after I was demoted the one girl said "We thought you were friends with Jane Doe". It was deliberate harrassment. Do I have any rights?
