That is a for sure no, I am a student in college and have recieved 2 MIP's and represented myself and it's fine. On the first offense the basically laugh in your face and make you pay fines its about 215.

what happened with your second mip i also have 2 in michigan the second one is pending right now and i was just wondering what they told you.

It doesn't hurt to go in for free legal advice. Call up some attorney(s) and ask. As far as 2 MIP in MICHIGAN (where I live) I think there might be some punishment as far as your ability to drive goes. MIP should be a civil infraction, at least the first time, IMHO.
