Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Minor at a party...MIP???

Hey quick question, i am 17 years old and am at a party. there is drinking goin on at the party, but i am not drinking, and have not handled any achohol. can i recieve an MIP just for being at the party if the cops come? What can happen to me if the cops come to the party??
