Merchant Service question. We signed up with Velocity merchant services which has been a nightmare from the beginning. We were originally told they would pay all the fees to switch us from our old company. Also told they would pay to switch us back if we were unhappy. Non of this happened. The first company took the cancellation fee right out of our bank account. Called Velocity and was told they never said they would pay the fees. And of course now they want us to pay to cancel and switch back to the first company.
Velocity told us we had to submit a cancellation form if we wanted cancel our Velocity services and we would owe $1700 to cancel our services with them. We did NOT submit a cancellation notice and actually talked with a rep about staying with their company until our contract expired. Next day they took $1700 our of our bank account. WE haven't canceled our services yet. How is this legal? Can someone advise us how to get the money back?
