My Mom recently passed away and we found several bills, mostly medicaly bills that she never paid - because she had no money or insurance. I recieved a call from the hospital which I have not returned yet. Are we (her kids) responsible for these bills? She has no estate or any savings. Only a very small retirement pension. Can anyone tell me what the law is on this?
