Medical bills showing on credit report
My jurisdiction is: South Carolina
I have a question in regard to collection agencies please. I have been making payments on two medical bills with a collection agency. I checked my credit report recently and found they had reported the bills as unpaid on my report.
I didn't think it would be reported as long as I was making regular payments. My credit is excellent except for these items they reported. Can they do that? Also, should I make remarks on my report about making regular payments or maybe dispute the claims? If I can find the funds to pay them in full can I request they remove this from my credit history entirely? I am seeking new employment and concerned this will reflect badly if they pull my history. Thanks for any advice.
