I have been married to a Montrealer for 3 yrs. We married in Canada. When we married we knew we would be living separately for awhile. We have never declared our marriage. We are now in a position for her to come down to the U.S. (New York) Does anyone know what must be done in order to facilitate this process and make her legal here as quickly as possible?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as our financial situation is precarious right now.

What do you mean you never "declared" your marriage. Why were you living apart after the marriage? What are you seeking to do when you say "make her legal?" Are you talking about living here permanently or possibly only for a period of time?
