I have yet to receive the petition that I made my wife prepare with a lawyer that I am paying for to file a divorce. When I do receive the petition and sign it, can she come back and change it if the lawyers finds a substantial equity in my company or does the petition have to stay the same as she signed it and I signed it? We will be signing it in Louisiana and there is a waiting period of 6 months here. Are we under the law as a married couple until then? If I were to be seen with another woman could it be considered grounds for filing an amendment to add adultery?
