My mother passed away in Sept. Of 2009. I receive a letter addressed to my mother from Mcdowell and associates attorneys at law stating that there client Ford Motor Credit prevailed in a lawsuit against her. I get this letter today in 2014. Back in 1999 or 2000 I think my mom did get her car repoed. Srikes me funny that a letter like this comes after she passed 5 years ago. What should we do?

Please accept my condolences in losing your mom.
As far as the letter, tear it up.
As her child (son or daughter), you aren't responsible for her debts.
Unless you wish to be hounded relentlessly by unscrupulous THIEVES and SCAMMERS, don't respond to that evil scam.
