My husband has a 9yr old son & his ex has no physical custody, no visitations & 50% legal custody she has seen him once in 6 1/2 yrs & only calls maybe 2 or 3 times a year, what can I do to be able to adopt him or at least be able to be a legal guardian in case I needed to take him to the hospital if something ever happened. My husband would have let her have visitation but she hasn't cared enough to try. She has 3 other kids she has virtually no contact with either. What are our options?
