I have been in foreclosure for 3 years now. JP Chase is actually trying to work out a loan modification with me and my boyfriend FINALLY! just today in mail he received a paper "notice to the judgement debtor of garnishment of property other than personal earnings". it was form a credit card company from 2009. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?? will they come take our stuff? does that mean i cannot get a loan modification now?? please help! scared to death...

Ignore ANYTHING sent to you via regular mail, UNLESS it is something from a court.

If you're unsure, contact the court, never contact the debt collector.

Finally, stop worrying, it won't help.

You might want to investigate bankruptcy.
