Hello, I'm new to the site and if I've posted my question in the wrong forum, please help me to redirect it. My problem is somewhat complex, and it may be difficult for me to describe. Over a decade ago I got involved with some individuals and as a result have become entangled in a very malicious ordeal with our federal government. There are breach of privacy and medical issues involved. My question is this; exactly what kind of lawyer would I need to deal with matters involving the government, and are there any legal organizations that exist who could provide me help if I needed it? I've heard that a civil trial lawyer may be needed, but I'm not for certain. I know I've been kind of vague, but the specifics of my case are exceptional and may be hard to believe, which is why I want to test the waters before delving into it further. Anyone who could provide me help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You could speak with most any lawyer, initially.
Upon that consultation, that lawyer will take your case, or tell you who you might speak to for a very specific legal issue.

It works like a medical problem.
You start with a General Practitioner, who refers you to a specialist, if necessary!

So, you need say no more here, if revealing your issues would be detrimental to your case and rights!
