Consumer Fraud loan money and person did not pay back

I loan my sister's friend money an amount of 3000 she gave me jewlery that was fake and gave me a post dated check. She told me she will pay me but never did it has been two months. She changed her phone number and never contact me back. I do not know what to do

Do you have her address? You could bring a small claims court action. Its not very hard and costs about $80. If she is employed or has anything to take it might be worth it. You can use the check as proof of a loan since she was trying to pay you back. Good luck.
