hello
I hope this is the right place for this question. I dozed off while driving and crashed my truck into a news paper stand and a traffic light controller box. then the cop asked me if I had been drinking ,I said no, but I have diabetes so they suppended my lic until I could prove that I did not pass out. I took many test brain scan,saw a specialest and passed every test and got my lic reinstated over the phone. I thought everything was fine until I went to renew my insurance and my rates jumped way up because it stays on my record for 3 years. I called to see if they will take this off my record but they are telling me no,even though I proved that it wasn't a medical problem and I feel that I am getting double dipped because I am already getting a point for the accident (which I deserve) from my insurance,but I am also getting dinged points from dmv even though I proved my case.Is there anything I can do?
