Libel + Memoir writing

So, a friend of mine has asked me to write her life story. And its pretty dicey. I have done enough research to know that I will never attempt to publish it because of libel, invasion of privacy and defamation. What I am wondering though is if I just write it for her own personal and private use, meaning she will get a written copy when we finish, and if it were to get into the wrong hands for whatever reason, could I still be sued for the above - even if it is never published in a public forum???? Thx

Anyone can sue anybody for anything at any time.

However, if you tell lies and it is never published, then whoever would have a hard time proving defamation.

If you tell the truth, it doesn't matter if it is published or not since truth is an absolute defense to a defamation charge.
