I was involved in an accident in April of '07 in Hall county GA. No ticket issued. The car I was in was a rental. The rental company charged me $1300 for Loss of Use. My insurance companies have requested I get a Letter of Fleet Utilization before they will consider paying my claim. Twice I have requested the rental agency provide this letter. Both times they have sent a letter stating why they do not need to prove their Loss of Use. I am tiring of this standoff between the insurance companies and the rental agency. Is the rental agency required by law to produce a Letter of Fleet Utilization? This is all beginning to feel like bad faith to me.
