legally liable at what age?

Is an 19 year old legally liable for emergency medical treatment? I own nothing, what will they creditors take from me? (20 in Illinois)

They will try to make you pay either by means of collections or a lawsuit. Negotiate with them an installment plan to pay for the debt and try not to go delinquent. If you end up in collections or a lawsuit, that will be part of your credit report and it may hinder your ability to gain employment and to obtain credit and that is definitely not good specially at your age and with all the future ahead of you...
