I need to know what my legal option's are against someone. I have a coviction for 3rd degree CSC. Someone has found out about my past and is now going around telling everyone she see's about my past. I know or belive this to be illegal. As such what are the legal option's that I may take against this person? I need to know as soon as possible as it has cost me possible job's as well as damaged my church membership.

If the person is telling the truth you have very little (if any) recourse at all.

There is nothing illegal in what she is doing...provided she's telling the truth about your criminal history.

You have no case here. One of the points of a defamation suit that you have to show is that what the person was saying was not true. Since what they are saying is true, you have no case.

How has this cost "possible" jobs? Will this not show up in a background check? Have you lied on appliations about this?
